The Project of Female Center of Al-'Afaf is in progress..

The direction of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine seeks to invest in many fields represented in a number of large construction projects that give progress and prosperity to the province of Karbala, including the project of the Female Shopping Mall of Al-'Afaf significantly in progress after a short period of discontinuity. Having completed many stages of this project such as the preparation of the architectural and civil designs and the works of the project's structure, which is divided into two parts: The concrete structure for special services in the new shopping mall, and the second part consists of a metal structure and other civil words, the technical and engineering staff in this project under the direct supervision of the Engineering Projects Department at the holy shrine launched the works of finishing construction, which is one of the important stages.

Engineer Dea' Majeed Al-Sa'igh explained to Al-Kafeel Network: "The porject is in two parts, concrete service part and a part represents "the Mall" and markets, the service part contains administrative offices and warehouses for the project, while the second part contains stores and places for men to rest. The ongoing civil works currently are the ceramic, alabaster and finishing the heath services, as for the mechanics and cooling works, the health services extensions, water system and all the cooling system have been completed."

He added: "The electricity works are in progress as well, as the extension of the main cable, plastic pipes for the wires and electrical connections for all floors are completed, and, God willing, we will contract an Italian company to install the main electricity transmission for the main cables instead of the copper cable, which will shorten the space and will give a better maintenance with a longer lifetime as well as bearing high electric capacity up to 3000 amperes."

Mr. Al-Sa'igh stated: "We initiated also the works on the service systems such as the warning, fire alarm, by supplying two electric generator, each of them feed half of the Mall, and in case of malfunction of one of them, the other will generate electricity for the whole Mall through a device linking the two generators. We finished also the installation of the systems of Cameras, internet, telephone, television and display screens for advertising and the security system for the entrances."

Explaining: "The project is implemented according to the highest international engineering and technical standards adopted by the executing company which undertook to interleave the latest architectural and construction techniques currently used in European countries in terms of building, specifications and international brands, in addition to the commercial services it will provide, and that would make it the first commercial center for women only with world-class specifications in the holy city of Karbala."

It is to note that the Secretariat-General of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has launched the expansion of this project after the success of the Female Shopping Mall of Al-'Afaf, and the growing demand by the families from the holy city of Karbala and beyond. The project then is a construction of a large sopping mall that includes commercial services for the current center plus other services such as: electronics, electrical, food and everything that a family needs.. Noting that the project is designed by one of the Turkish counseling offices and implemented by the Iraqi Company "Ard Al-Qods" under the supervision of the Department of Engineering projects at the holy shrine.
