The installation of the first Quranic bands inside the shrine's new grid of Aba al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him)

After the completion of the installation of the wooden structure of the shrine's new grid of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), some of the metal parts of the side columns, accessories, corner columns and the crowns as well as a number of the knotworks including the holy grid's door, it was time for installing the Quranic internal bands with their decorative patterns, and it was implemented in a record time by the same staff who manufactured them.
The committee supervising the manufacture of the shrine's new grid of Aba al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) took special care to choose the lines to write the quranic verses and chapters and poems that decorate the grid, so the most beautiful lines and the most skilled calligraphers were chosen befitting the status of this great project.
The Quranic inscription that surround the four internal corners of the holy grid, has been accomplished in a fine professional way, in line with the greatness of this masterpiece.
The Quranic inscription is a frieze inscribed by the Iraqi calligrapher Feras Al-Baghdadi, the chosen verses on it are from Chapter 24 [Noor] from the verse {Indeed, We have sent down to you Revelations which show the truth clearly and illuminate your way, and examples (from the histories) of those who have passed away before you, and an instruction for the God-revering, pious.} (24:34) {وَلَقَدْ أَنزَلْنَا إِلَيْكُمْ آيَاتٍ مُّبَيِّنَاتٍ وَمَثَلاً مِّنَ الَّذِينَ خَلَوْا مِن قَبْلِكُمْ وَمَوْعِظَةً لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ} to the verse 42: {To God belongs the sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and to God is the homecoming.} {وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَإِلَى اللَّهِ الْمَصِيرُ}, in a beautifully harmonic way by 18 m length and 42 cm width, It was executed in the factory's workshops by skilled carpenters of the servants of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), using modern technologies and sophisticated machines under the supervision of the factory's staff, linking the manual skills and expertise of the carpenters with the modern CNC computer techniques for the output of this work.
The frieze was surrounded by two beautiful decorative frames in tune with the rest of the inscription on the top and bottom, carried out in the same way showing the natural beautiful colours, like an artistic paint made by a creative artist.
The internal arc is a 70cm height wooden curve and 18cm of length, surrounding the inner four ribs of the grid. These ribs meet with each other in each corner forming one piece of decorated design. This curved shape band consists of pieces related to each other surrounding decorations in form of rectangle called "Turar" on which were written Quranic verses using Thuluth calligraphy by the Iraqi calligrapher Feras Al-Baghdadi, surrounded by beautiful and colorful floral motifs, bringing color consistency and symmetry to all the wood pieces.
The holy verse that is located in the side of the holy head (side of door): {And never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision
And from the Qibla side (the opposite side) the chosen verse is: {Gardens of perpetual residence, which they will enter, beneath which rivers flow. They will have therein whatever they wish. Thus does Allah reward the righteous جَنَّاتُ عَدْنٍ يَدْخُلُونَهَا تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الأَنْهَارُ لَهُمْ فِيهَا مَا يَشَاؤُونَ كَذَلِكَ يَجْزِي اللَّهُ الْمُتَّقِينَ} (16:31) surrounded by two circular "Turrar" on which was written the Basmalah {Bismi Allahi Ar-Rahman Ar-Raheem} and the Tasdeeq {Sadaqa Allah Al-'Aliyyu Al-'Adheem}.
The Burmese teak was used in the manufacture of these pieces, white oak and seysam were used for the motifs, using manual and sometimes mechanical methods to form a whole harmonious piece of art in terms of the wood color and the motifs, taking into account the colors and inscriptions of the rest of the wooden parts of the surrounding bands.
The additional characteristics of this work is the non use of any colors or pigments but it has been relied on the natural wood color, which was imported from international origins with high quality, and with the graduated colors; white, yellow, green, black, purple, red and teak, in various types like the wood of teak, oak, beech, bitter orange, walnut... according to the proportions and measurements prepared in advance to accomplish this blessed work.
