Al-Wafa Workshop & Stores Project (Group I / Al-Wafa site) is part of a series of projects adopted and implemented by the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in both the warehouse and the industrial fields, which comes as part of its serious endeavor to promote the comprehensive strategic development in its various fields and aspects and will represent with the rest of the complexes and similar projects a vital project at the near and long term.
The works in the project are carried out sequentially, one after the other, and within the design and implementation plans prepared by the engineering projects department at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine directly and implemented by the staff of the Lewa Company for International Contracting and Industries, which spare no effort for its completion within its own time.
After the completion of sections and concrete parts of the project from the wall, the pillars and elevator structures for both the workshop and the warehouse, the installation of steel sections for the workshops and stores of the project called "steel structures" was started in preparation for the next stage; the installation of sandwich panels which pieces arrived at the project site.
The project is divided into two parts:
The first section consists of a two-story workshop with a floor area of 3000 m2 with a width of 30 meters and a length of 100 meters. It is implemented in a modern way in an open space. The height of each floor is 8m. The two floors are separated by a surface using RibbedSlap technology, which is one of the modern technologies in construction field, characterized by strength and light weight. The workshop is equipped with two different dimensions elevators suitable for future investment, as well as two emergency stairs and two sanitary groups.
The second section is a warehouse held on an area of 2500 m2 with a height of 10.15 m, width of 25 m and length of 100 m. It was taken into account in the implementation of all technical and engineering matters for the establishment of such warehouses in terms of foundations, linking the concrete columns, covering the warehouse from outside and other matters that fit its methods of use.
It is worth mentioning that the engineering projects department at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has implemented dozens of large projects, as well as hundreds of small, medium and large projects inside and outside the shrine since its establishment after the fall of the former regime, most of which have been implemented by Iraqi cadres, supervised and mostly implemented by Iraqi cadres working in companies outside the shrine and rarely carried out by foreign labor.
