An integrated sanitary complex established by the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine near Maqam of Imam al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his holy reappearance).

In order to upgrade the service of visitors of the shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and of his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) and to continue the series of service projects and the ongoing reconstruction campaign of the Maqam of Imam al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his holy reappearance), the Engineering Maintenance Department of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine launched the construction of a sanitary complex of high standards, to replace the old complex that was suffering from many problems such as its small size and the wrong distribution of sanitary facilities.

The new sanitary complex will be divided into two sections, one of men and the other for women. It will also be equipped with advanced systems to push the air, a system of lighting and warning and water feeding, in addition to an integrated system of sewage, and cladding the exterior facade of the building with alabaster, and floors with ceramics. It will be also provided with an integrated light system, lightning-proof system with grounding system, heating/ air-conditioning system and ventilation system.
