The al-Kafeel University enters the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings.

Al-Kafeel University has entered the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings for the academic year 2020, as the university ranked sixth among eighteen Iraqi universities, and ranked (601) over the international universities.
This classification is based on several criteria, the most important of which are energy, clean energy, good health, justice, and strong institutions. This classification is the fourth classification that the university enters into, as it previously entered the Webometrics classification, RUR classification, and GreenMetrics classification.

On the admission of the al-Kafeel University to this classification, the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Nawras Muhammad Shahid Al-Dahan, stated: "The al-Kafeel University is seeking, with consistent steps and in accordance with a strategic plan, to obtain a distinguished scientific rank among the known universities, in the service of the scientific process in our dear country."
