The International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) has included Iraq represented by the library and the House of Manuscripts of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, in its latest reports about libraries, and through its axis (Managing remote working) through which libraries contributed to reducing the damage to the world as a result of the outbreak of the Corona epidemic.

On this subject, Mr. Samer Bassem Lafta, Associate of the Center for Indexing and Information Systems, explained to the al-Kafeel network, : "The International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions IFLA, includes in its membership (150) countries including Iraq represented by the library and the House of Manuscripts of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, and as a result of the current circumstance of the outbreak of the Corona pandemic, the Federation has included libraries that have contributed to reducing the risk of the epidemic through its axis (Managing remote working), in addition to continuing some of their activities without any interruption.

He added: "As a result of the spread of the epidemic and its repercussions, most institutions in many countries, including libraries, were closed, but the library and the House of Manuscripts of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine did not stop providing services that would contribute to the continuation of the progress wheel. Among these services was the launch of a series of live seminars online using Webinar, which would raise information awareness, exchange ideas, and continue to provide information. The work was not limited to these seminars, but also the diversity of activities offered by the library, which include continuing to hold training courses online directly for workers in the field of libraries, And other activities. "

It is noteworthy that the library and the House of Manuscripts of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine has taken a series of precautionary and preventive measures to limit the spread of the Corona epidemic, and have adopted in their implementation on solid scientific and health bases, including providing remote services, and this service is the only one provided at the level of Iraq.
