Al-Kafeel University ranks sixth in the global Scopus database.

Al-Kafeel University, affiliated to the Education and Higher Education Commission, of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, ranked sixth among the Iraqi private universities in the number of research published in the Scopus global database for the year 2019.
The President of the University, Prof. Dr. Nawras Al-Dahan explained to the al-Kafeel network, saying: "The university's obtaining this rank came after the implementation of the directives of His Eminence, the Senior Official of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, Sayed. Ahmad Al-Safi, emphasising the necessity of paying attention to applied scientific research that serves the community and contributes to finding some effective solutions to the suffering of our dear country in various industrial, agricultural and environmental sectors, where the university provided a competitive research environment that encouraged researchers to prepare and publish their research in international journals classified within the databases (Clarivate) and (Scupos), and entry to the university is among Databases (Scopus) are the starting point for achieving more advanced ranks in the future. "
He explained: "The university's strategic plan pays attention and encourages researchers to form specialized research groups, through which it seeks to take care to keep pace with global scientific development, and publish scientific research at a high level to serve the community and achieve its aspirations."
He added: "The university got this rank among (64) Iraqi universities and colleges, of which 32 entered within Scopus databases."
At the end of his speech, Al-Dahan stressed that the university continues in its approach and its aim to enter all international classifications and achieve advanced ranks in it.
It is noteworthy that the Scopus database is one of the approved international databases, and it gives an accurate indication of the classification of international journals and international research in various disciplines.
