The cadres of the Service Affairs Department start a massive cleaning campaign for the areas surrounding the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine.

The cadres of the Cleaning Division of the Service Affairs Department, as usual after the Ziyarat Arba'een each year, began a wide cleaning campaign that included the vicinity of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and a number of streets leading to it, as well as a number of areas of the old city in order to remove all waste and remnants.
The head of the aforementioned division, Muhammad Ahmad Jawad, told Al-Kafeel Global Network, saying: “Our staffs started a wide cleaning campaign from the early morning to remove waste from the surrounding streets leading to the al-Abbas's holy shrine. After that, they washed and cleaned these streets using the department's cleaning vehicles.”
He added, "Our staffs also cleaned and washed the underground floors of the al-Abbas's holy shrine, after they were empty of the volunteer brothers, as all the carpets in them were removed and transferred to warehouses and replaced with new carpets, and before that we did the work of washing the floor."
He continued: "The washing and cleaning work also included the Al-Joud Square located on the Qibla road of the Master Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), and we also conducted cleaning the water streams and sewage water."
He concluded, "We are continuing this campaign, and work will witness cleaning other streets, pending a decrease in the number of visitors in the coming hours."
It is noteworthy that the Department of Service Affairs in the al-Abbas's (P) holy shrine is one of the departments that are in direct contact with the visitor, and it seeks with all its capabilities to provide the utmost degree of service to the visitors on various Ziyarat.
