The host restaurant of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine distributed hundreds of meals to the security forces tasked with implementing the preventive curfew, which was taken as a result of the repercussions of the Corona epidemic and to limit its spread. This was a gesture of gratitude and appreciation for the efforts made during this crisis.
According to the head of the host's department, engineer Adel Al-Hamami: “Based on the directives of the General Secretariat of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and as an initiative to be added to the series of initiatives launched by the host, the staffs of our department began preparing meals and distributing them to the security forces deployed in the Karbala governorate, of those in charge of implementing the curfew taken based on the decisions of the Crisis Cell to limit the spread of the Corona epidemic.
He added, "We started the distribution work from the first day of the entry into force of the curfew, and included fixed and mobile checkpoints. Meals were prepared and placed in special containers then distributed by the host's vehicles according to each sector and axis. The distribution included also cleaning workers deployed in the streets of the city. "
It is noteworthy that this initiative is one of the humanitarian initiatives implemented by the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, to contribute to the support of the relevant authorities charged with implementing the decisions of the Crisis Cell to limit the spread of the Corona epidemic.
