The thirteenth of Rajab: The birth anniversary of the Dragonfly of Religion; the Commander of the Faithful Ali Ibn Abi Taleb (peace be upon him) inside the Holy Ka'aba.

One of the important and unique incidents that occurred in the holy Ka'aba is the birth of the Commander of the Faithful; Imam Ali Ibn Abi Taleb (peace be upon him) in the midst of this holy place on Friday 13th of Rajab thirty years after the year of the elephant. This incident is for sure has unique and clear implications showing the distinctive status of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him), as the Almighty has chosen him alone to be born inside His holy House, No one Neither before nor after him born in the house of God.

As it was narrated that Sa'eed ibn Jubayr said: Yazeed Ibn Qa'nab said: I was with Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib and some others from Abd al-'Uzza tribe sitting in front of the Sacred House of Allah [Bayt Allah al-Haram], when suddenly Fatimah Bint Asad [mother of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him)] came and stood there while she was nine months pregnant of him and struggling with pains of childbirth and prayed: “O my Lord! I believe in You and all Your messengers and holy books sent from You, and I acknowledge the words of my ancestor Ibrahim, al-Khalil [intimate friend of God], who has built the old house [Ka'aba]. O my Lord! For the sake of the person who built this House [Ka'aba] and for the sake of the baby I’m carrying, make my labour easy.”

Yazeed Ibn Qa'nab said: "Suddenly we saw the House [Ka'aba] cracked from behind and Fatimah entered there and disappeared from our sight. And the cracks came together and stuck. We went to open the lock of its door, but it didn’t open. So we knew that this is a matter of the Almighty Allah

Soon, the news of this incident spread throughout the city. Three days passed and on the fourth day Fatimah came out from the same spot, having Ali (peace be upon him) in her arms. And she said: “"Allah raised my status over that of all the other ladies before me. Asiyah bint Muzahim (wife of Pharaoh) was forced to worship her Lord from a rather undesirable place, that is acceptable only on condition that one is left with no other choice. Maryam, the daughter of Imran had to shake the date-palm in order to feed herself - but I entered into the House of Allah and was fed on heavenly fruits. As I wanted to come out from the Ka'aba I heard the Command saying: `O Fatima, name this child Ali, because he is "Ali [High]" exalted and Allah is the Most exalted says: I have named him after Me and have conferred on him the secrets of My Knowledge. He is the one who will clear My House from the filth of idols. He will call one and all to prayer, from atop of My House and will worship only Me. Blessed are the ones who will love him and will follow him; cursed are the ones who oppose him or are his enemies.'"

It should be mentioned here that No one neither before nor after him born in the house of God. The birth of the commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) in the house of Allah is a great virtue and honor which Allah assigned to him to celebrate his dignity and reverence.
