The al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine continues its endeavors towards the development of local economic sectors, through the establishment of strategic projects that include a set of developmental elements, forming an integrated work system in terms of infrastructure and economic feasibility.
Among these projects is the Barakat Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) station for raising cows, which is one of the projects of the Al-Kafeel Company for Public Investments of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, and thus it is added to the series of investment projects under the banner of the company.
Regarding this station, Engineer Rasoul Al-Ramahi, Director of Al-Kafeel Company for Public Investments said: “The Barakat Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) station for raising cows is one of the projects launched by the Al-Kafeel Company for Public Investments with the aim of developing this important sector, in addition to providing the local market with the finest types of meat that are subject to approved health controls."
Adding: "The project is one of the new projects in the Agricultural Affairs and Livestock Department of the Al-Kafeel Company, and it includes (8) stations, with only two operational so far, with a capacity of 150 calves. These stations are in the process of development until its production capacity reaches more than (2000) calf heads after all stations are fully functional."
He explained: “This project is distinguished by fattening local calves and not relying on imported ones, in addition to using plant-based fodder without the use of artificial feed additives. The period of fattening is (3-4) months, after which the marketing is done through slaughtering them and selling them as fresh meat at the al-Kafeel centers or through the direct sale to butchers in Karbala and other provinces.”
