Adding: "The project is one of the new projects in the Agricultural Affairs and Livestock Department of the Al-Kafeel Company, and it includes (8) stations, with only two operational so far, with a capacity of 150 calves. These stations are in the process of development until its production capacity reaches more than (2000) calf heads after all stations are fully functional."

He explained: “This project is distinguished by fattening local calves and not relying on imported ones, in addition to using plant-based fodder without the use of artificial feed additives. The period of fattening is (3-4) months, after which the marketing is done through slaughtering them and selling them as fresh meat at the al-Kafeel centers or through the direct sale to butchers in Karbala and other provinces.”
