The al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, represented by the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs, participated with more than (250) various publications in the first edition of the Kut International Book Fair, which opened this Monday morning at the Kut University College Hall, and will last for two weeks.
The fair is organized by Kut University College in cooperation with the Diwan of Wasit Governorate, with the participation of dozens of local, Arab and international publishing houses.
Regarding this participation, Mr. Mohamad Al-A'raji, the pavilion official, stated to the Al-Kafeel Network: “Participation in this fair, which is being held for the first year in this governorate, is a complement to the series of participations in international and local fairs and exhibitions. The pavilion included a variety of religious, academic, intellectual, cultural, heritage and children’s publications. In addition to the presentation of a group of encyclopedias, especially the Encyclopedia of the Fatwa of Sacred Defense, which was recently issued by the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine."
He added: "The participation came at the request of the organizer of the fair. The attendees at the opening visited our pavilion, and listened to a brief explanation about the nature of the participation and its publications. The President of the College Kut; Prof. Dr. Talib Al-Moussawi, praised this participation and considered it a distinguished addition to this fair.”
The pavilion of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, which is participating in this fair, witnessed a wide turnout by its visitors, as it became a point of attraction thanks to its displayed books that address all age groups.
