A medical team at Al-Kafeel Specialist Hospital of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine announced that it has successfully treated a patient in his twenties who suffered from a ruptured cruciate ligament of his right knee using endoscopy.
And the specialist in orthopedics, fractures and joints at the hospital, Lebanese doctor Tony Eid, said: “Our medical team succeeded in a surgery for repairing the cruciate ligament in the right knee of a 21-year-old patient,” noting that: “We performed the operation using a technique that allows for an early and safe return for movement".
Dr. Eid explained, "The patient was suffering from pain and instability in the knee and difficulty walking," noting that: "Through examination and an MRI, We found that he had a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament of the knee."
