The condolences' processions in Karbala commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam al-Jawad (peace be upon him).

As usual for commemorating the martyrdom anniversaries of the infallible imams (peace be upon them), the Karbala processions of condolences began marching on Saturday morning 29th Dhu al-Qi'dah 1442 AH corresponding to July 10, 2021 to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of the ninth of the guidance imams; Imam Mohammad al-Jawad (peace be upon him).

The processions started since the early morning from various shops of the old city, towards the holy shrines of the Master of martyrs and of his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them), to commemorate this sad anniversary and extend their condolences to the Master of the Order and the Time (may Allah hasten his holy reappearance ).

The mourners entered the holy shrine of the Master Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) carrying a symbolic coffin with sad hearts to extend their condolence, then they marched towards the shrine of the Father of the freemen (peace be upon him) chanting elegies and lamenting on this sad occasion them holding a condolences' council there.

It is worth mentioning that the people of the holy city of Karbala have continued to commemorate the martyrdom anniversaries of Ahl al-Bayt (prayers and peace of God be upon them all) by organizing such condolences' processions.
