Operation to fix a fracture in the eye socket of a child at the al-Kafeel Hospital.

A medical team at al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine succeeded in fixing a fracture in the eye socket of a seven-year-old child, as high-tech medical materials were used in this operation, to prevent the child from undergoing another surgery.
The specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the hospital, Dr. Radwan Al-Ta'i, stated: "The child was subjected to a fall from a high place and because of this he broke the eye socket, which resulted in the receding of the muscles of the eye socket and its exophthalmos, which required a quick surgical operation."
He added, "We have completed all the necessary preparations for the operation and fixed the fracture of the eye socket, using soluble plates after a year or more inside the body, so we end the option of another surgery for that child in the future, because he is in the developing stage."
Dr. Al-Ta'i stated: "The operation is an advanced surgery and can be performed at the Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital, thanks to the availability of the necessary techniques and requirements and the presence of specialized medical and nursing staff."
At the conclusion of his speech, he stressed: "The health status of the child is stable, and he will leave the hospital after only two days, so that we can follow his condition remotely or with direct and quick review sessions with us, until he gains a full recovery."
