More than 350 students participate in a mourning procession and a Quranic gathering.

The Department of Public Relations at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, represented by its University and School Relations Division, in cooperation with the Scientific Complex of the Holy Qur'an in the Holy Shrine, organized for the sixth year a Quranic condolence event in which more than 350 university and high school students participated. The mourning event highlighted the relationship of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) and his eternal renaissance with the Holy Book of God, on Wednesday (30 Muharram 1443 AH) corresponding to (September 8, 2021).

The condolence procession began from the courtyard of Lady Zaynab (peace be upon her), in form of groups representing their universities and schools, then heading to the shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) and standing in front of his holy shrine, to extend their condolences with the sad and painful expressions.

After that, they headed to the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), passing through the square between the two Holy Shrines, where a mourning assembly was held, in which the servants of the holy shrine also participated.

Then the blessed Quranic forum was held, starting with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by the reciter Muslim al-Shabki, and after that a poem was recited by the poet Hamza al-Samawi.

Then other recitations followed by the reciter of the Two Holy Shrines, Hajj Osama al-Karbalai, the reciter Dr. Ahmad al-Najafi from the Imam Ali (peace be upon him) Holy shrine, Sayed Haidar Gelokhan al-Musawi from the Institute of the Holy Quran, and Haj Amer al-Kadhemi.
