Construction of a service road for visitors near the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him)

In continuation of its series of works aimed at providing the best services to visitors, the staff of the Engineering Maintenance and Construction Department at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has completed the rehabilitation and cladding of one of the service roads that lead to the holy shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), located next to the Saqi courtyard.
The supervisor of these works, Mr Hassan Abd al-Hussayn, stated to Al-Kafeel Network: "The al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine seeks to create a comfortable atmosphere for the visitor who intends to visit the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), and among those services is to rehabilitate and clad the roads that lead to it, as the second phase of these works has been completed on this road, which will benefit visitors and owners of the shops overlooking it.”
He explained that: "The rehabilitation and cladding of the street, which is more than 1,000 meters long and more than 5 meters wide, has witnessed several works, including removing the old asphalt covering materials, establishing an integrated infrastructure of sewage, rainwater, and others, and linking it with the Saqi courtyard system."
Abd al-Hussayn stated: "After that, this street was cladded with muqarnas tiles with beautiful colors, which made it easier for the visitor to move in it with ease. These works aim to contribute to preparing the roads of the old city and its main and secondary streets, and even surrounding the Holy Shrine. All these works were carried out without any radical change in the general shape of this street.”
