The Secretary-General of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine attends the laying of the foundation stone for the building of the Police Directorate for the Protection of the Two Holy Shrines

A delegation from the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, headed by its Secretary-General, Engineer Mohamad al-Ashigar, participated this Sunday (1 Rabi' Al-Thani 1443 AH) corresponding to (November 7, 2021) in the ceremony of laying the foundation stone for the building of the Police Directorate for the Protection of the Two Holy Shrines.

The ceremony was attended by the governor of the Karbala; Eng. Nassif Jassem al-Khattabi, and the commander of its operations and police.

During his speech, the Governor of Karbala said: “To complete the reconstruction process carried out by the local government in all fields, whether service, security or educational institutions, today we are laying the foundation stone for building an important edifice in a province of great importance to securely manage the major Ziyarat, during which great effort is provided at all levels of security, morality and service with distinction."

He explained that: "The security forces in the province of Karbala are making a great effort, with a high spirit, to serve the guests of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them). Thus in support of their efforts, a model building will be established for the Two Holy Shrines Police Directorate."
