The medical affairs at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine set a road map for the medical services provided to visitors

The Medical Affairs Division at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine organized a workshop to develop and improve the health and treatment skills provided to visitors, in order to contribute to the development of a road map for a comprehensive plan to be implemented in the major Ziyarat, Thursday eves, and other occasions.

The workshop was held in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and the Karbala Directorate of Health, with the participation of representatives of those involved in the implementation of medical plans (Division of University Relations - Al-Kafeel Scout -Al-Kafeel Academy of Medical Training - Medical Evacuation Volunteers - Red Crescent).

The official of the Medical Affairs Division, Dr. Osama Abd al-Hassan, told Al-Kafeel Network, "This is the second workshop organized by the Division, dealing with:

- A discussion of the medical services that were provided during the Ziyarat Arba'een

- Listening to the obstacles that accompanied the provision of medical services and developing solutions to them

- Discussing the role of volunteers who are partners in implementing this plan; as more than 1,600 volunteers participated

- Discussing the provision of medical and therapeutic supplies, medicines and others.

- Discussing the work of medical detachments and field hospitals and the possibility of increasing their number in the future.

- Discussing mechanisms of cooperation and coordination with the parties involved in implementing the plan.

- Emphasis on developing medical and therapeutic skills for the cadres involved in implementing the plan.

And Abd al-Hassan explained "that the workshop was a brainstorming of what happened in the Ziyarat Arba'een, and several important recommendations were made to be a roadmap for medical services that the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine seeks to improve and develop."
