The two holy shrines extend condolences to the families of the martyrs and the wounded in the bombing of Basra Governorate

A delegation of the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them), arrived in Basra to offer condolences to the families of the martyrs and wounded of the terrorist incident, which occurred recently near the Republican Hospital in the province, resulting four martyrs and a number of wounded.

The head of the delegation of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine; Sheikh Adel al-Wakeel stated to Al-Kafeel Network: "We formed a delegation from the two holy shrines based on a directive of their senior officials, in order to convey our sincere condolences to the families of the martyrs of the criminal incident committed by the enemies of man and humanity, asking God Almighty to make their souls happy in Paradise, and to inspire their families patience and solace, and to grant the wounded a speedy recovery. We also declared our solidarity with them in exposing perpetrators of this tragic accident, and bringing them to justice so that they may receive their just punishment.”

He added, "We presented to the families of the martyrs and the wounded of the accident gifts from the two holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them), surrounded by prayers for the martyrs and for the wounded."

It is noteworthy that the delegation included a number of officials of the two Holy Shrines, who conveyed the condolences of the supreme religious authority, the two senior officials, and the servants of the two holy shrines to the families of the martyrs, while praying for a speedy recovery for the wounded.

The families of the martyrs and the wounded expressed their thanks for this step and initiative and thanked those who attended and comforted them, expressing at the same time their deep pride in this blessed visit.
