Modernizing and developing the external lighting of the wall of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him)

The staff of the Electricity Division of the Engineering Maintenance and Construction Department at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has completed the work of modernizing and developing the external lighting of the outer wall of the courtyard of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) within the new expansion, with modern and advanced lamps and lighting systems that fit and harmonize with the inscriptions and decorations contained in the wall.
The division official, Engineer Mohammad Mustafa al-Taweel, told Al-Kafeel Network, “These works are the widest and most comprehensive that the Holy Shrine wall has witnessed, since the horizontal expansion project was completed. It came after the lighting systems in it became obsolete and their efficiency decreased, in addition to the directives of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, which requires keeping pace with development, in any of the urban joints of the holy shrine. He added, "After conducting a field inspection of the site, and developing a work plan for it. The phases of the works were as follows:
The first stage: It included updating the lighting of the Qur’anic inscription that surrounds the Holy Shrine from the outside with the addition of another lighting strip consisting of a number of (WALL WASHER) lamps with (IP 65), which are characterized by high efficiency and good lighting in red and white colors, in addition to their resistance to weather conditions, and they give light reflections that show the Qur'anic inscription clearly.
The second stage: the modernization of the wall lighting system for the fence, which consists of a large group of double lamps. These works were carried out after communicating with the company that provided us with all updates to this system. It was provided with modern lamps that came appropriate with the decorations and inscriptions of the courtyard, which contributes to providing strong, clear and highly efficient lighting.
The third stage: Maintaining and developing the lighting of the lamps of the indicative parts that are at the gates of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, repairing and replacing the damaged and old ones, and providing them with new lamps according to the color of each piece."
Al-Taweel concluded that "the lamps that have been installed are environmentally friendly, economical and inexpensive in terms of energy, and are the latest in the global market, and a comprehensive maintenance and examination of their connection points to the main electrical system at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, and the electronic control room that controls its lighting was also carried out. ".
