A photographer from the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine participates at the International Festival of Photography (Xposure 2022)

Photographer Ali al-Khafaji, a photographer of the Department of Islamic and Human Knowledge Affairs of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, participated in the activities of the sixth edition of the International Photography Festival "Xposure", organized by the Media Office of the Government of Sharjah in the UAE, Expo Center Sharjah.

Al-Khafaji told Al-Kafeel Network, "The participation was under the umbrella of the Arab Photographers Union, and we were registered among (105) visions of light in the yearbook of the exhibition, in which (1700) artworks and (70) photographers from around the world participated, and more than (1600) images and subjects in this exhibition."

He added that "the International Photography Festival is a global event, which brings together the best international photographers, and there are a group of senior photographers in the world who showcased their unique works and innovative methods of visual storytelling, to share their experiences and expertise with photography lovers."

Al-Khafaji explained, "The festival focused on contemporary photography of all kinds, from wildlife and landscapes to photojournalism and portraiture, and praise be to God, our photo shoots were within this axis and were accepted by the festival's organizers, to be among (16) photographers from Iraq, which achieved the lead at the Arab level at the festival."

He stressed that "the attendance at this event was a natural result of the support shown by the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine and the department's presidency in supporting artistic energies and creativity, and working to develop and refine their skills and make them keep pace with the development taking place in this field."



It is noteworthy that the photographers of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine have participated in many photo and artistic competitions and festivals, achieving advanced ranks and won awards, whether at the local or international level.
