For the first time in Women Hawza Studies: the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine launches Umm al-Baneen platform for distance religious education

Umm al-Baneen University (peace be upon her) has launched the Women’s Electronic University in Najaf, which is affiliated with the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the al-Abbas’s (p) Holy Shrine, (Umm al-Baneen Educational Platform), a global digital educational platform professionally prepared by the Al-Kafeel information technology center by the Al-Kafeel University.

University President Sheikh Hussein al-Turabi told Al-Kafeel Network: "The platform came to keep pace with the development taking place in the field of e-learning, by following the latest methods and investing in cyberspace, which will enable many sisters to participate in Qur'anic or teaching learning in different parts of the world."

He added, "All curricula and video lectures for the two departments of Qur'anic studies and preaching, and many assessment methods and everything related to the university system (administrative and scientific), are now available on the platform."

He explained: "The platform will be ready starting from the coming month of Shawwal, when the new academic year of the university will start, and we hope that this platform will help facilitate religious learning for those who face difficulty in in-person education inside Iraq, or because there is no educational opportunity as outside Iraq."

He stressed that "the launch of this platform is in line with the university's long-term strategy," noting that "it will be free for everyone on (android), (iOS) and (windows) systems."
