A medical team at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital succeeded in adjusting the curvature of the spine of a twenty-year-old patient.

A specialist in spine surgery, the Syrian doctor, Dr. Wael Qassem, "We recently succeeded in adjusting the kyphosis with severe lateral deviation in the spine of a patient in her twenties," noting that "the operation was performed under a spinal cord monitor."

Dr. Qassem pointed out that "the operation took eight hours, with the help of a distinguished medical team and skilled anesthesiologists, in addition to the presence of modern technologies that encouraged us to perform the operation, and the patient was able to recover."
