The Host Department of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine announced that it provided more than 160 thousand meals to visitors on this auspicious occasion of the mid-Sha'ban, who came to Karbala to perform the Ziyarat of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them). The host restaurant began its work since Thursday and it will continue until after the Ziyarat.
The head of the department, Engineer Adel al-Hamami, told Al-Kafeel Network, "The host restaurant prepared a special plan for preparing, cooking and distributing food, in which all health and organizational measures were taken into account, and to contribute to distributing this blessed food to the largest possible number of visitors."
He added, "Meals are served three times (breakfast, lunch and dinner) through three distribution outlets, two of which are next to the wall of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and one on the Qibla Street of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him). In order to contribute to the continuation of providing food services.
Al-Hamami explained, "The meals offered were characterized by diversity to meet the visitor's taste, in addition to the distribution of fruits, juices, water and others that are continuous throughout the day, in separate queues for men and women.”
