Al-Ameed University celebrates World Library Day

Al-Ameed university, affiliated with the Higher Education Authority at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, celebrated the world Library day through a celebration organized by the Learning Resources Center at the University (Central Library), and held in the Imam Al-Mujtaba Hall (peace be upon him) in the center of the campus, with the participation of many professors, teachers, staff and students of the faculties of the University, as well as the assistants of the president of the University for scientific and administrative affairs.

The ceremony included reading verses from the Holy Quran, and then Mrs. Alia al-Huzami, assistant director of the Central Library at the University, delivered a speech by the organizer of the ceremony, through which she welcomed the distinguished guests and attendees, reviewing the most important stages that the library went through until it reached what it is now, and future plans to upgrade it.

Then there was a developmental activity with guiding dimensions for students in ways to achieve success, presented by Assistant Teacher Dhedal Faik al-Zubaidi from the Department of psychological guidance and educational guidance at Al-Ameed University, followed by a lecture by Dr. Saleh al-Hasnawi, followed by a health lecture by Dr. Ghazwa al-Tamimi and Dr. Iqbal Abu al-Hab.

The ceremony concluded with honoring the pioneers of the Central Library at Al-Ameed University, who are college students who visit it constantly.

After that, the audience went to the book exhibition and the fine art exhibition of professors and students, which included various works of art and composition with a distinct aesthetic and artistic character.
