Under the auspices of the two holy shrines: the people of Karbala commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) at his shrine

The people of Karbala and its processions and the servants of the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them), extended their condolences to the Holy Prophet (Allah’s prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household) on the martyrdom anniversary of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) at his holy shrine in the province of Najaf, under the auspices and support of the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them).

The head of the Hussayni rites and processions department at the two holy shrines; Sayed Aqeel Abdul Hussein al-Yasiri, stated Al-Kafeel Network: "it is customary to mourn on this day, with a solemn procession of condolence or the people of Karbala in the martyrdom anniversary of the Commander of the Faithful; Imam Ali (peace be upon him), to participate in the procession of condolence that came to his holy shrine to commemorate this sad occasion.

He added that "the procession started from Karbala Hussayniya in al-Tusi Street in the province of Najaf, towards the shrine of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), to hold a council for condolence, which included the delivery of a number of poems and elegies, embodying the depth of the sad tragedy by Radood Hussein al-Saghir and Radood Ibrahim al-Sharafi".

Al-Yasiri continued that "the unified Karbalai procession, was also attended by a group of mourners, and the mourners chanted elegies that embodied the depth of grief on this great tragedy, to share with the mourners as they extend their condolences to the people of the House of infallibility (peace be upon them)".

He pointed out that "the department prepared an organizational and coordination plan for the movement of the procession, as transportation was provided by the departments of vehicles at the two holy shrines to transport the mourners back and forth, in addition to organizing the March and movement of the procession. There was also an Iftaar meal provided by one of the processions of the province of Najaf.
