A medical team at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital announced its success in the process of lengthening the upper femur of a seventy patient after the loss of (7 cm).
"Our medical team succeeded in fixing the fracture with the lengthening of the bone, to the thigh of a patient aged (70) years," said the specialist of orthopedics, fractures and joints at the hospital, Dr. Mohammed Saad al-Haris, noting that "the installation and lengthening was carried out using the technique of Ilizarov".
Dr. al-Haris explained that" the patient was suffering from bone loss in the upper femur of (7 cm), with bone inflammation as a result of a previous operation, "stressing that "the patient recovered after the operation we conducted at Al-Kafeel hospital".
