Launching the imam al-Hassan al-Mujtaba Quranic competition in memorization and recitation with the participation of 15 governorates

The Institute of the Holy Quran, the Babylon branch of the scientific complex of the Holy Quran, launched this Saturday morning the activities of the imam al-Hassan al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him) national Quranic competition, in memorizing the entire Holy Quran and reciting it on the Iraqi and Egyptian methods, with the participation of (15) Iraqi governorates.

The events, which were held on the conference hall in the city of Hilla in the province of Babylon, began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran recited by the reciter of the two holy shrines Falah Zuleif Atiyah, and then the reading of Surah Al-Fatiha in memory of the righteous martyrs of Iraq, followed by the speech of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine delivered by the head of the scientific complex of the Holy Quran, Dr. Mushtaq al-Ali, in which he welcomed all participants in this competition, starting his speech by highlighting the value of the Holy Quran, which is one of the most important divine ways to the everlasting trade.

This was followed by the speech of the Holy Quran Institute delivered by the official of the Institute's branch in Babylon, Mr. Montadher al-Mashaikhi, in which he outlined the details of the competition, which will continue for two consecutive days, thanking the administration of the holy shrine for its unlimited support for Quranic projects in the province of Babylon, and all the active Quranic institutions participating in this competition.

This was followed by the announcement of the launch of the competition, which witnessed a special Quranic competition on its first day, between all participating teams.

The competition was supervised by a jury consisting of Dr. Amer Dhanoun al-Hamad as a referee for the rules of recitation and Tajweed, Hafedh Qasim Hami as a referee for the quality of memorization, the reader of the Two Holy Shrines; Sayed Hassanein al-Helu as a referee for the melody, Mr. Yahya al-Sahaf as a referee for the sound, and Mr. Haider al-Kadhemi as a referee for the Waqf and start, And finally Dr. Haider Saleh for calculating points.
