The activities of Imam al- Hassan al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him) national Quranic competition continue for the second day in a row

The activities of the imam al-Hassan al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him) national Quranic competition, organized by the Institute of the Holy Quran, Babylon branch, affiliated to the scientific complex of the Holy Quran at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, continue.

"The preparatory committee provided all the requirements leading to the success of the competition, as the work of the preparatory committee resulted in the formation of a jury consisting of five judges, in the rules of Tajweed, Waqf, start, voice and melody, as well as a judge in the quality of memorization," said Mr. Luai Abdul Hamza Hassoun, a member of the preparatory committee for the competition and the head of the recitation unit at the Holy Quran Institute, Babylon Branch.

Hassoun added, "the Quranic institutions that received the invitation to participate in the competition nominated approximately (64) readers and memorizers, including those who read in the Iraqi way and some in the Egyptian way, and this is the characteristic of this competition".

For his part, the representative of the Holy Quran Association in Diwaniyah, reader Yasser l-Muhanna, said, "This competition is unique in the country, as it combines the Iraqi and Egyptian methods of recitation in addition to the memorization".

Al-Muhanna explained, " this competition has produced Quranic talents, potentials and distinctive energies," calling on other Quranic institutions to "follow the example of the Institute of the Holy Quran affiliated with the scientific complex of the Holy Quran at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, in holding such activities in order to embrace Quranic talents".

It is noteworthy that the competition was launched on Saturday in the province of Babylon, with the participation of (15) Iraqi provinces.
