130 ceiling and wall chandeliers enter service in the Basement of Imam al-Jawad (peace be upon him)

The staff of the chandeliers division has completed the installation of chandeliers for the ceiling and walls of the Basement of Imam al-Jawad (peace be upon him), inside the shrine's courtyard of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), which is intended to serve visitors to the holy shrine.

Mr. Khalil Hanoun, head of the Courtyard's Care Department, said that "the staff of the chandeliers division, and once the basement works were completed, 130 chandeliers were installed in the place allocated to them, in addition to the walls on which wall chandeliers were installed, distributed on both sides, according to the designs and specific places that added an additional aesthetic element to this place".

He added that "the chandeliers that were installed in the ceiling of the basement were installed in the middle of inscriptions of rectangular shapes, with a height of (96 cm) and a width of (81 cm) and contain (25) lamps, while the installed wall chandeliers with a height of (76 cm) and a width of (63 cm) pushed outward (90 cm), and each of them contains (12) lamps, distributed on the right and left sides of the basement and in the middle of the upper side of the decorative arches from the inside, which are (12) bows".

"The chandeliers (ceiling and wall) that have been installed are in harmony with the chandeliers of the holy shrine and the holy sanctuary, to create a state of artistic harmony between these chandeliers on the one hand, and the rest of the interior and exterior decorations and inscriptions on the other," Hanoun stressed.

According to the head of the department, " the chandeliers of the Basement of Imam al-Jawad (peace be upon him) were imported from international companies that are distinguished by manufacturing the most luxurious types of chandeliers manufactured from natural crystal."
