The Department of Maintaining Order has completed its preparations to serve the visitors of the Arba'een of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), by organizing their entry and exit and conducting inspections.
The assistant to the head of the Department, Mr. Reda Naji, said that "the department has security and service duties, on the security side, the staff of all divisions have been prepared and distributed to the axes of the city, starting from Maitham al-Tamar Street to the Holy Sanctuary of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), and we have cooperation with the regiment for the protection of the Two Holy Shrines for the purpose of inspection".
He added that" a number of employees of the Department have been allocated to address negative cases, maintain the security of visitors and protect their property, "pointing out that "all the staffs have undergone specialized courses in security and have experience in dealing with the millions of visitors".
Regarding the movement of visitors, Naji said that "the Department supervises the division of the streets back and forth to facilitate the movement of visitors, especially the streets near the shrine of Aba al-Fadl (peace be upon him), taking into account the areas that witness traffic and density of visitors, which proved successful in preventing stampede and traffic during previous Ziyarat seasons".
As for the service side, Naji explained that "the staff of the department conducts desinfection campaigns and distributes masks, and helps visitors who are elderly or with special needs, to complete their Ziyarat and take them back to the checkpoints".
According to the assistant head of the department, the latter has a joint work with the communications division, to take advantage of the visual surveillance system in the process of maintaining security and follow-up.
