The Latm mourning processions launched their commemoration of the Arba'een of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) on today Thursday morning of 18th of Safar 1444 AH corresponding to September 15, 2022.
These processions were launched according to the timetable set by the department of Hussayni rituals and processions belonging to the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and of al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them). They gathered in form of organized groups, centred by a Radood, chanting elegies about the tragedy of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) and expressing the feelings of the mourners and lovers of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) while commemorating this sad anniversary.
Every procession launch from the Qibla gate of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) to his holy shrine then passing by the area between the two holy shrines, arriving to the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) through the gate of Imam al-Hassan (peace be upon him), then leaving it from the Qibla gate of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him).
Special corridors have been created for the passage of processions without crowding visitors, taking into account the prayer times when the movement of processions stops completely in order to hold prayers, as explained by the head of the ritual Department, Sayed Aqeel al-Yasiri.
He added that "the Hussayni rituals and processions Department began early this year in its preparations for the commemoration of the Arba'een ceremonies of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), in order to organize and arrange efforts to come up with a smooth accurate work in all areas related to its work".
