Host Restaurant Department: we distribute (148) thousand meals a week

The Host Restaurant Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine announced that it distributed more than (148) thousand meals a week.

The official of the Food Unit, Hassan Mohammed Hashim, told The News Center that "the host restaurant is working on cooking and distributing more than (10) thousand meals a day, during the usual days from Sunday to Wednesday, while on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, which witness larger influx of visitors, more than (36) thousand meals a day are distributed".

"Lunches and dinners are prepared daily according to pre-prepared menus that are updated weekly, and work at the host restaurant is underway throughout the day to serve the visitors of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them)," he added.

He also said that "most of the materials used in food preparation are fresh materials provided by Noor Al-Kafeel company, and the most skilled cooks work on cooking and preparing them".
