The Iraqi Center for the documentation of extremist crimes discusses ways of joint cooperation with the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights at the United Nations

A delegation from the Iraqi Center for the documentation of extremist crimes of the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine discussed ways of joint cooperation with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for human rights in Geneva.

Dr. Abbas al-Quraishi, director of the center, said: "the meeting included talking about documenting the Speicher massacre, about which the Center issued a documentary encyclopedia with twenty-three volumes".

On the other hand, Mr. Alban Paophelte, a member of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, expressed his admiration for the activities of the Iraqi Center for the documentation of crimes of extremism, especially in documenting genocides”.

At the end of the meeting, the Iraqi Center for the documentation of extremist crimes presented a set of its publications to UNHCR, stressing at the same time the importance of cooperation in the field of documenting the violations to which Iraqis were subjected.
