The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine organizes a condolence program to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Lady az-Zahra (peace be upon her) in Sinjar

The Department of Religious Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, in cooperation with the hussayni rituals and processions unit in Sinjar district of Mosul governorate, organized a condolence program to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Lady az-Zahra (peace be upon her).

The official of the support and guidance division in the said Department; Sheikh Haider al-'Aredhi, said that "the establishment of condolence councils to remember the misfortunes of the imams of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) in Sinjar district continues throughout the year, according to a schedule set for this purpose, and one of the councils that we are constantly establishing and reviving is what is associated with the martyrdom anniversary of Lady az-Zahra (peace be upon her) according to the three narrations, and here we started with the first narration and we will continue successively."

He added that "the condolence program included many parts, the most important of which was a lecture that I had the honor to deliver, in which I addressed glimpses of this sad memory, bright themes from the life and attitudes of Lady Fatima (peace be upon her), part of her life and suffering, her great role in strengthening the Islamic religion, her place with Allah the Almighty and his messenger Mohammad (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household) and the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), as well as urging to adhere to her values, namely the values of Islam and humanity."

He explained that "the program also included the holding of a lament Council on this occasion, which was led by the Radood Abu Ali al-Husseini".

"The council witnessed a large presence by the people of the district of various backgrounds, and was not limited to one category and there was a great interaction," al-'Aredhi concluded.
