Umm al-Baneen dental prevention center receives a number of orphaned Basra children

Umm al-Baneen dental prevention center of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has received a group of orphaned children from Basra governorate.

The director of the center, Mr. Ali al-Bahadli, said that "the center, which was opened in 2013, has so far received more than (13 thousand) orphaned children from most governorates of the country, and provided them with dental health care and ways to preserve them".

"In the orphan care program, we worked to break the barrier of children's fear of the dentist, and teach them to use oral cleaning tools such as floss and brush,"he added.

According to Bahadli, the program includes the treatment of children in need of orthodontics, recreational trips and the organization of Ziyarat to holy shrines before returning them to their province.
