The staff of the Engineering Maintenance and Construction Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine continues the periodic inspection of the cooling and ventilation systems of the holy shrine and its departments.

The cooling Engineer of the Division; Amir Mohammed Ali, said that "the works and projects of the Division for the installation of cooling systems and devices continue even in winter inside the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, and in its external sections and sites".

He pointed out that "currently, the Division's work includes the installation of cooling systems for the intravenous solutions project, the Amir Al-Mu'minin hospital project in Najaf, the Imam Hussayn basement Project (Peace be upon him) and the Imam Al-Jawad basement (peace be upon him), in order to equip them with central cooling in addition to ventilation systems for air purification and withdrawal, and the projects of internal departments at Al-Ameed University and the garage of the holy shrine."

Mohammed Ali added that" Cooling Division continues to maintain the central cooling systems of the Courtyard and the Holy Sanctuary, by equipping the pushers to work during the winter season either for ventilation or heating depending on the outside weather".

Regarding the cooling systems at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, Mohammed Ali explained that "one of its features is that it contains air heaters separate from the cooling system (water cooling unit), as we can turn on the heaters in the winter season or to introduce fresh air from outside, to purify the air inside the holy shrine".

According to Mohammed Ali, air pushers have different sizes ranging from 18 to 20 thousand cubic feet per minute (CFM), used in winter to introduce fresh outside air into the Holy Sanctuary, and withdraw air through pullers or holes spread in the basements, in addition to the presence of special intake systems inside the Holy Sanctuary and the dome.
