The jeweler of the new covering for the mausoleum of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) revealed the details of the distribution of precious stones and metals in the new covering.

The jeweler Abbas Abdel Moneim said,"the main pieces of stones were placed on the side of the holy head, which are from turquoise, and on the side of the holy foot we chose (ruby and sapphire), and there are repeated pieces in numbers up to 700pieaces, and the covering contains 16 Golden corners as well as palms to which natural pearls and the rest of the precious stones were added".

He pointed out that"the selection of designs for the completely new covering is the first stage of the completion of the honorable covering of the mausoleum of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), which is carried out by the committee of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) from Kuwait specialized in covering the holy sanctuaries".

"The committee selected some designs that were hand-painted by specialists in this field, and presented them to the project owner; Sayed Abbas Hashem Aal-Bushka al-Mousawi, to elect the appropriate final design, and this stage took about three months after studying the sizes and colors of the stones and the details of the covering,"he added.

Abdel Moneim continued by saying that "the next stage was represented by making samples of the covering and installing stones on it, in several successive stages, including polishing and cleaning of precious stones, and each stone is selected according to the surrounding stones to give it a special aesthetic".

He pointed out that"the covering is decorated with hundreds of gold and silver jewelry that are placed within a specific map, in terms of colors and shapes consistent with the spirit of the work to highlight its beauty".

As for metals, Abdel Moneim explained that "the gold used was given the appropriate shine by polishing, as well as silver was plated with 24-carat gold to preserve the luster over time".
