The opening of the new grid of Haani bin Urwah's sanctuary and the new courtyard of the shrine of Muslim bin Aqeel (peace be upon them) ..

On the occasion of the auspicious birth to the Commander of the faithful Imam Ali Ibnu Abi Talib (peace be upon them), the opening ceremony of the new grid of sanctuary of the noble companion Haani Ibnu Urwah (Allah be pleased with him) as well as the new courtyard of the sanctuary of the ambassador of Imam Al-Hussayn; Muslim Ibnu Aqeel (peace be upon them), was held on Sunday evening (11 Rajab 1435 AH) corresponding to (11 May 2014) .

The opening ceremony which took place in the great holy mosque of Kufa, was attended by a number of religious and scientific figures, representatives of the holy shrines in Iraq led by the head of the Shiite Endowment (Waqf) Sayed Saleh Al-Haydari, and a number of dignitaries and notables of the province of Najaf in addition to the crowds of visitors.

The head of the Shiite Endowment Sayed Saleh Al-Haydari explained to the Al-Kafeel Global Network: "The opening of the new courtyard's project is of great service for visitors, because it provides them currently with better comfort. And as it appears, this project is made with a great precision, which makes it distinct from the rest of the projects. Same case for the expansion of the sanctuary of the noble companion Haani Ibnu Urwah, which was a small place has now become a wider place to accommodate crowds of visitors. "

He added: "As everyone knows, visitors from inside and outside Iraq come to visit these holy places, so we should all seek to provide all the necessary means that serve the needs of these visitors and these noble sanctuaries as part of the holy shrines that are supervised by the Shiite Endowment."

For his part, the General Secretary of the great Kufa mosque Sayed Musa Taqi Alkhalkhali said: "Today was held -with the help of God- the official opening of the new courtyard of the ambassador of Imam Al-Hussayn Muslim Ibnu Aqeel (peace be upon them), which is located within an area of 7,000m2. This project which was designed by Engineering Department of the Shiite Endowment, combines between the old architectural style and modernity in the design. "

As explained by project manager engineer Mr. Khudair Faisal: "Three years was the time limit for the completion of this project which is realised fully and purely with Iraqi hands. eventually the finish included mirrors and Mosaic of Karbala types in addition to a new touch represented by introducing black colour shaped like a bar to surround the white walls. "
