The Division of Al-Kafeel Women Religious Schools at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine concluded the activities of the "Spirit of Prophecy" International Women Festival in its fifth edition, which lasted four days during which it witnessed research sessions, art exhibitions and various competitions.
In the speech of the general secretariat of the holy shrine, delivered by its board member, Dr. Abbas Rashid al-Mousawi, he said that "the festival bears this name (the Spirit of Prophecy) because Lady Fatima (peace be upon her) is the beloved daughter the Holy Prophet (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household) and his spirit is at his side, and in commemorating this anniversary we revive the Sunnah of her father and her great biography," stressing keenness that "this occasion will be a springboard to revive her approach and her personality in the conscience of the nation and the feelings of her sons, so that we can imitate and be guided by her."
He added that "renewing the memory and insisting on its revival is a translation of our adherence to Islam, declaring loyalty to his Prophet (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household), following his message and and that of his Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), so that we can be at the heart of the Message, in the depth of its understanding and close to it, no matter how old the years and successive generations are".
An unparalleled intellectual legacy and content
The closing ceremony also included a speech by the organizing committee delivered by the head of the Division; Mrs. Bushra al-Kinani, through which she indicated that "for the fifth year in a row, we stand at the position of Lady az-Zahra (peace be upon her) and her manifestations in various dimensions of life, to reveal the heritage and intellectual contents that are no less comparable to the knowledge of prophecy, and to enhance research in order to shed light on the various dimensions of this great personality".
The closing events also included a speech to the delegations participating in the festival, delivered by Professor at Basra University Salma Abdul Hamid, in which she said that "the festival of the Spirit of Prophecy is distinguished, as ideas and opinions converged and we meditated at the sanctity of this great personality, so its sacred smells filled the atmosphere of the festival, where Lady az-Zahra (peace be upon her) brought us together for her love and unity for her words, to elevate us women, to a higher position in society and the world".
Recommendations inspired by the biography of az-Zahra (peace be upon her)
The Spirit of Prophecy International Women Festival in its fifth session, organized by the Division of Al-Kafeel Women Religious Schools at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, concluded with many recommendations, the most prominent of which was the breadth of research circle, by highlighting the women of the House of prophecy, mainly Lady az-Zahra (peace be upon her), the great lady Khadija and Lady Zaynab (Allah's prayers be upon them).
The conference participants called for expanding cooperation with academic bodies by sending invitation letters to researchers from inside and outside Iraq, and approaching the Ministry of education to shed light on the Fadak sermon of Lady az-Zahra (peace be upon her), and making it part of the curriculum for secondary stages.
They stressed the preparation of the Al-Afaf document in cooperation with the Center for Strategic Studies of the Al-Abbas's (P) holy shrine, in order to protect the family from moral deviation, activate the media side to announce the paragraphs of the festival, and form a working team to follow up artistic and poetic activities inside and outside Iraq to expand the circle of participation.
The conference also stressed the need for coordination between the cultural institutions of the holy shrines in determining the dates of scientific festivals, so that there is no conflict that distracts the scientific efforts of researchers.
Research and technical competitions
The closing events of the festival included a poetry session during which several poets were honored, including Amal Abdullah al-Faraj from Saudi Arabia, Zahra al-Mutghawi from Bahrain, Fatima al-Sahmarani from Lebanon, and others.
The events also witnessed a competition of the best painting, won by the contestant Fatima Ali Abdul Razzak, hijran Nasser Sultan and Janat Bassem, in addition to the competition of the best photograph, won by the contestant Noor Ni'ma Jawad, Doha Mohammed Jabbar and Du'aa Sabah Jelob.
The competition of the best manuscript was won by Azhar Shuraka, Huda 'Awdah Abbas and Zahra Samir Jawad.
As for the research competition, it was won by the contestant Zainab Wahid Salem from Iraq, and her research was entitled (a doctrinal study on the positon of az-Zahra peace be upon her), and the second place was taken by Inas Kadhem Abdul Hussein from Iraq, and her research was entitled (The interwoven speech in the sermons of az-Zahra peace be upon her), and the third winner was Sundus Saadoun Mahdi Ali from Iraq, and the title of her research was (the holistic rules in the sermon of Fadak), in partnership with Alaa Safi Hamid al-Ghizi, also from Iraq, whose research title was (the educational impact of Lady az-Zahra - peace be upon her- in building a model family).
