A medical team at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital succeeded in freeing the jaw joints and facial bones of a young man who suffered a traffic accident four years ago, which led to their fusion.
Maxillofacial surgery specialist Dr. Radwan al-Ta'i said "A 36-year-old young man has been suffering from a limitation in the movement of the jaw and mouth opening for about four years as a result of a traffic accident,".
"The tests showed the presence of Fusion in the jaw joints with the cheekbone from the right and left side,"he added.
"We removed the calcification based on the jaw joints and opened their fusion, and freed them from the cheekbones on both sides, and the operation was as we prepared for it and succeeded completely," Al-Tai explained.
The injured young man left the hospital in a stable health condition, remained under Follow-up and exercises and gradually returned to his normal functional and aesthetic condition, pointing out that "these operations, despite their complexity, are possible and successful in the hospital, thanks to the advanced medical techniques and expertise at the Hospital".
