The successes of children's heart operations continue at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital

The Cardiac Surgery Center at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital announced that it has achieved many successes in treating pediatric cardiac abnormalities patients.

The director of the Cardiac Surgery Center at the Hospital; Dr. Ahmad Aboudi, "many of the children's heart operations that we have performed have been successful and their health status has stabilized, and their lives have become much closer to normal, and our ambition is to provide our services to the largest number of patients and reach the level that the patient will not travel for treatment abroad".

He added,"We receive various cases of heart diseases and problems for children, including the blue heart deformity (tetralogy of Fallot), and each case is carefully studied, through examining the cardiac monitor available at the hospital to determine the type of surgical intervention and its feasibility".

The director of the Cardiac Surgery Center at the Hospital stressed on " performing the operation for children who have (tetralogy of Fallot) at the age of six months, to avoid the complication of the condition after this age, such as low oxygen, which causes cyanosis attacks and problems in the brain," noting that "the heart operation requires follow-up of the child's condition in intensive care for about (72 hours), and then he remains under care and treatment for a month."
