The streets leading to the shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them) were crowded with Karbala mourning processions on the fourth day of the holy month of Muharram.
On the morning of the fourth day of the holy month of Muharram, the Zinjeel mourning processions started heading towards the holy area, to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam al-Hussayn and his family (peace be upon them) and his companions, and to recall the misfortunes of Ashura witnessed in the city of Karbala at that time.
The holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon them) witnessed large crowds of believers from various regions and countries flocking to participate in the commemoration of this sad occasion, and the voices of mourners rose with hussayni elegies, which embody the meanings of consolation and loyalty to the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and their lofty teachings.
