The delegation of the Intellectual and Cultural Affairs Department of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine participated in the revival of Husseini rituals and the establishment of mourning councils in the Nigerian state of Kaduna.
The delegation included the coordinators of the African Studies Center in Nigeria of the Department, Sheikh Shamsuddin Abdullah and Sheikh Ibrahim Musa.
The mourning council was established to commemorate the martyrdom annivesary of Imam al-Hussayn and his family and companions (peace be upon them), and to recall the tragedy of at-Taf that befell believers and humanity, and to mention the virtues of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and their lofty status.
The council witnessed the presence of a large gathering of believers from the lovers of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) in the Nigerian state of Kaduna to benefit from the council, on the religious, ideological, moral and intellectual awareness levels.
The Center for African Studies is working on organizing mourning councils in various African countries and coordinating with their preachers, who give lectures to spread the knowledge about the tragedy of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) and revive the hussayni rituals on the African continent.
