Covering more than 16 thousand square meters of the streets surrounding the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine with Saran shade cloth

The Engineering Maintenance and Construction Department at the Al-Abbas'd (p) Shrine covered more than 16 thousand square meters of the streets surrounding the holy shrine with Saran shade cloth to serve visitors in the holy month of Muharram.

The official of the construction machinery and equipment division of the Department, Mr. Hassan Ali, said that " the division's staff covered an area of more than 16 thousand square meters of the spaces of a number of streets surrounding the holy shrine to serve visitors in the month of Muharram, stressing that "work is continuing in order to implement the pre-prepared plan, which aims to cover 20 thousand square meters of the area, in order to mitigate the effects of sunlight on mourners.

He added that"the division worked on transporting and storing healthy water provided by the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine for visitors in the month of Muharram, by so far 260 water vehicles, on the axes of Karbala and areas near the Holy Courtyard and Husseini processions".

Ali explained that"the division installed water spray systems to soften the atmosphere, as an area of approximately (2 kilometers ) was covered with shade cloth from al-Jumhuriya Street, and the areas surrounding the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine.

The division official continued that"the large machinery unit in the division is working on installing lampposts and transporting electric power generators, in addition to transporting 15,000 bags of dirt on one of the tracks of the Twayreej Run".

The division provides its services to various sites of the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine to make them ready to receive visitors around the clock, including providing what external sites need, as well as setting up bathroom groups in cooperation with the relevant departments.
