The Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine, represented by the Center for African Studies, organized a condolence March and a condolence Council to commemorate the Ziyarat Ashura in the African country of Rwanda.
The director of the center, Sheikh Saad Sattar al-Shammari, said that "the director of the Center in the Rwandan capital Kigali, Sheikh Abu Haidar, gave a lecture on the immortal tragedy of at-Taf in the Imam Hussein mosque (peace be upon him), followed by participation in the condolence march to commemorate the Ziyarat Ashura".
He added that "participation in the condolence March comes within the activities of the Center in the state of Rwanda, to promote awareness of the importance of the revival of Ashura and emulate the humanitarian and spiritual approach of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), and also reflects the active role of the Center in spreading Islamic knowledge and values, and reviving religious rituals in the continent".
The condolence procession, which started on the morning of the tenth day of the month of Muharram, witnessed the presence of a gathering of lovers and followers of Ahl Al-Bayt(peace be upon them), according to Al-Shammari.
