The Agriculture's Division of the service department at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine conducts a campaign for trimming the trees planted on the side-walks of the roads leading to the shrines of Imam Al-Hussayn and his brother Abu Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon them), as well as the planted trees planted in the streets of the old city and main streets of the province, which were planted previously through the reforestation project sponsored by the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, through which were planted thousands of multiple varieties of trees and, the most important advantages that they fit in with the weather and environmental conditions in Iraq, in addition to the fact they are evergreen with rapid growth in two-way horizontal and vertical, which helps to accelerate the deployment and eases the formation of several beautiful geometric forms.

This campaign is launched seasonally, in order to contribute to beautify the city of the Master of martyrs (peace be upon him), in line with its sanctity and its status in the hearts of Muslims in the whole world, in order to serve its residents and visitors through the increase in size of the green spaces with the various types of trees and flowers because of its fundamental role in providing opportunities of nature pleasures for the city's residents and those visiting its holy shrines, and that, in line with the requirements of the residential neighbourhoods.

It is noteworthy that all the trees, seedlings and ornamental flowers falling within this project are the production of the nursery of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and carried out by the staff of its agriculture division.
