The Department of Religious Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine commemorated the martyrdom anniversary of Imam as-Sajjad (peace be upon him) by holding condolence councils in the courtyard of Master Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him).
The head of the Department, Sheikh Salah al-Karbalai, said that "the council dealt with the life of Imam Zayn al-Abideen (peace be upon him), which is an important and great book that generations should study in detail, especially that his life (peace be upon him) after Ashura represents the important detail in the crystallization of the Shiite thought of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them)".
He added, " the council, which is held by Sheikh Hassanein al-Khaqani, will address the virtue of the Imam as-Sajjad (peace be upon him) and how he focused and crystallized it in the way of the true call to the true Islamic religion from the point of view of (be for us silent preachers)," pointing to "focusing on the Sahifa as-Sajjadia, which represents a great legacy."
Al-Karbalai explained that"the main council is held before the Dohr prayer in the Holy Courtyard, and lasts for three days, while another council is held at Five O'clock in the afternoon, where the preachers discuss a paper, verse or Dua about Imam as-Sajjad (peace be upon him)".
