Hundreds of thousands of visitors are heading to Najaf province to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of the Holy Prophet Mohammad (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household), by offering condolences to his guardian; Imam Ali (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

The Najaf City Center witnessed thousands of visitors flocking under a great alert of the servants of visitors, while hundreds of Service processions opened their doors to receive mourners.

Visitors from different regions headed on foot to the province of Najaf, covering long distances to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of the Holy Prophet Mohammad (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household) on the twenty-eighth of the month of Safar, in order to offer condolences to his guardian Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and to hold mourning ceremonies in the holy courtyard of his holy shrine.

Thousands of visitors from outside Iraq are taking part in the Ziyarat to commemorate this painful occasion.
